[Book] The Blind Assassin - Margaret Atwood: Slow story 본문
[Book] The Blind Assassin - Margaret Atwood: Slow story
Finally, I finished the book by skipping here and there.
1. Summary
Iris is the narrator. She has a sister named Laura. And she's dead by an accident. Or a suicide. It looks like Richard, Iris husband, had an affair with Laura. Or sex involving violence. That might be the reason of her death. It also seems Iris killed Richard. But the description is not clear. Therefore, she might or she might not.
And there is a novel called 'The Blind Assassin' written by Laura. And by Iris. There are he and say in the novel. And an assassin called X. In the end, he's dead and she's keeping a photo with him which has another hand resting on the grass. It's not clear whose hand it is.
In the last scene, Iris saw her mom. It's the description of Iris's death.
2. My comments
Obviously, it's not my type of book. The story goes too slow. And I was not curious what's coming next. There are some interesting expressions here and there, but those were not enough to keep me holding the book.
So I skipped a lot.
I missed the part what X did. I also don't know who's Alex although I saw his/her name in the story. And I don't know how 'he' left 'her' in the novel.
Anyway, I spent enough time with this book (longer than 30 hours I think), so I decided to finish it anyway.
In short, not my book.

I suddenly foresaw what his last action would be, in relation to me: he'll hoist one end of my coffin #BlindAssassin pic.twitter.com/FZVdxY4y8c
